Rates

Peak Season: May  thru September

$1,750 + 12% NYS and Tourism tax = $1,960 per week. Sunday – Sunday. Minimum stay: seven nights

Mid – Season: October thru April monthly only

$3,500 per month + 12% NYS and Tourism tax = $3,920 per month . Minimum stay: one month

*Deposit Required: We require a 50% deposit within five days of making the reservation to secure your time period. Balance, plus applicable New York State 8% and Madison County Tourism 4% taxes noted above are due upon arrival at Cedar Cove. Personal checks are acceptable. Sorry, no credit cards.

Cancellation Policy: Deposits will be returned only if cottage is re-rented.

Cedar Cove Particulars

Keys: The cottage will be left open upon your arrival. Front door key provided on porch.

Cedar Cove is not responsible for personal property.

Linens and laundry: All linens are provided including lake towels. The cottage is equipped with washer and dryer.

Docks and waterfront: The cottage dock at the end of the stone garden path is for your exclusive use. The docks to the north (right) , and boathouse are exclusively for the residents of the main house. Use of lake is at your own risk. No lifeguards.

Boating: A canoe and row-boat are provided. Life vests are required. We provide a few sizes, but you should bring your own for best fit.

Fishing gear: Fishing poles, nets and basic tackle provided at waterfront.

Water shoes: Small pesky zebra mussels (the size of your fingernail) attach to some rocks near shore and can be very sharp. We provide some water shoes for your use, but suggest you bring your own.

Pets:  We do not allow pets.

Smoking:  Smoking is not permitted in cottage or on screened porch.

Outdoor grilling: Insurance does not allow barbeque.

Noise and Commotion: Please keep music and outdoor activity at a low volume after 9 p.m.

Parking: there is space for two cars maximum at any time for cottage occupants, and a maximum of one additional car (three total) if visitors stop by

Directions: GPS:  4681 East Lake Rd. Look for blue reflectors on trees at end of driveway. Drive straight in towards lake. Near the of the driveway bear left and cottage is directly in front of you. Park next to cottage,  near basketball hoop (complete with basketballs). Adjacent to parking, you climb four steps into cottage.

Hold Harmless Clause: to the fullest extent possible by applicable law, the renter or persons associated with the renter, shall indemnify and hold harmless the owner, owner’s family and agents and employees of any of them against claims, damages, losses and expenses, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, arising out of or resulting from the renting of this property either inside the building or on associated grounds or waters, provided that such claim, damage, loss or expense is attributable to bodily injury, sickness, disease or death, or to injury to or destruction of tangible property, but only to the extent caused by the negligent acts or omissions of the owner or owner’s family, or anyone directly or indirectly employed by them or anyone for whose acts they may be liable. Such obligation shall not be construed to negate, abridge, or reduce other rights or obligations of indemnity, which would otherwise exist as to a party or person.
